To achieve our objectives, we have established three parallel and interconnected multi-level EFL programs, each of which is designed for a specific age group. The Adult courses are designed for mature students, 16 years of age or older; the Young Adult courses for students 11 to 15 years of age; and the Children's courses for students 6 to 10 years of age. We offer separate courses for males and females in both our Adult and Young Adult programs.
AELC prides itself on being responsive to the needs of its students. We offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to devlop and improve all of the language skills of our students.
The aim of our English course is to help students achieve communicative competence in English. We utilize an integrated skills curriculum in which reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking are taught with equal emphasis. Our classroom approach is student-centered and encourages students to be active participants in the learning process. Students have ample opportunity to use and manipulate English through a variety of activities in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. This approach makes learning English enjoyable as well as challenging.
We use the most up-to-date and effective teaching materials and techniques in all our classes. Therefore, to further ensure that our students reach their goals, the use of a Language Laboratory has been integrated into our curriculum. In this way our students are able to maximize their language learning efforts and advance at their own pace. We have cerefully and systematically integrated Computer - Assisted Language Learning into the AELC curriculum. Furthermore, we are building up a self-access center where our students can further their studies by making use of the variety of books available.
Our Advantages
"A commitment to excellence" is not a hollow phrase, but rather an active statement of mission that guides our actions and steers our Institute in the right direction. In line with our commitments, we have attracted highly professional well-qualified teachers, incorporated the most up-to-date materials and techniques into our courses, limited the number of students per class, and we have always given our students the personal attention and respect they deserve.
